Research & Gradings
Smith's Research & Gradings has been providing recognition for the achievements and fine work of municipal professionals since 1992. Smith's All-Star Municipal Analyst Awards is the only program that consistently and prominently provides recognition in the municipal space.
Those eligible for the award can work at Wall Street firms, buyside institutions, rating agencies, insurance companies, and commercial banks, as well as independent research analysts – anywhere municipal credit analysis is performed.
Smith’s All-Star Municipal Analyst Awards Program starts with the formation of Smith's Blue Ribbon Ballot Committee of Portfolio Managers. Members of Smith’s Blue Ribbon Ballot Committee are asked to nominate the nation’s leading municipal analysts to the ballot. Once the ballot nominations are compiled and verified, the final ballot is sent out to 1,000 institutional investors for voting, using their unique voter ID. Only Institutional Investors can vote for the Smith’s All-Star Municipal Analyst Team.
Smith’s All-Star Municipal Analyst Awards culminates with the Awards Luncheon in December.
